ALLEGED EMBEZZLEMENT
DEFENCE CLERK CHARGED.
Before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., yesterday afternoon, David Errol Sutherland, a clerk in the employ of the Defence Department (vocational training) at \\ ellington, was charged that on or about April 5, and. on divers dates between that date and May 18, lie “did steal divers sums totalling £lO5 13s. 6d„ the ptx> perty of the New Zealand Government. On tho application of Chief Detective Ward. |a remand to- Wednesday was granted, and bail was allowed in one surety of £lOO.
