WAIKOUAITI AND KAIMANAWA. There seems to be some doubt whether , tho steamer Waikouaitri, whose overhaul at Port Chalmers is about completed, will resume commission or remain on the lay-up berth, elates the Dunedin "Star. The doubt ecems to exist in relation to the steamer Kaimanawa, which is still laid up at Port Chalmers, although her overhaul was completed two or three weeks, and she was then mp.de ready for »oa. The Beamen’e TTtrion wanted an In- : crease in the stokehold crew beyond the statutory number. The company made a concession, which was not deemed adequate by tho union, with the result that the Katmanawa is still put of commission, although ready for sea. It is rumoured on the waterfront that a crew for the Waikouaitl will not be available until the increase of crew asked for the Kaimanawa is first conceded. ■ WEST HEPBUBN LEAVES NEW YORK. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Company advise that the U.S. and A. liner West Hepburn left New York on Wednesday for Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due at the first port about July 15, and should be here a week later. PORT BOWE NFROM LIVERPOOL. Although a Press Association cablegram has announced that the steamer Port Bow. en has left Liverpool for New Zealand, the 0. and D. Line advise that she is not expected to leave until next Thursday. She will visit Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. KAIKOURA FROM AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Chipping Company’s liner Kaikoura la due to-day from Auckland. She should sail about the middle of next week for Napier. Tokomaru Bay, and Gisborne to load for Home. Bhe will call at Wellington to complete, end sail finally from here. MAHIA DUB TO-MORROW. The S.S. and A. liner Mahia is due at Wellington from Picton to-morrow to continue loading for Home. She is to leave hero for Nsnier on Wednesday, and will sail from that port for London about June 18. WAIMATE TO SAIL TO-DAY. The Now Zealand Shipping Company’» steamer Waimate ie to sail at daybreak to-day for London. PALOONA TO SAIL TO-MOKROW. The Union Company's steamer Paloona. is duo here to-day from Lyttlton. and will sail to-morrow at 2 p.m. for Melbourne direct. WAIKAWA’fI PROGRAMME. The Union Company’s freighter Waikawa. arrived at Sydney at the beginning of this week from Melbourne. After the balance of her American cargo has been discharged she will j) to Newcastle to load coal for New Zealand. The Walkawa will subsequently proceed to the Pacific Coast. CANASTOTA TO COMPLETE. To complete loading for New York and Boston the U.S. and A. liner Canastota Is expected to leave Sydney to-morrow for Wellington. She is due here on Thursday, and is timed to sail for Boston and New York later. PORT VICTOR DUE TUESDAY. The 0. and D. liner Port Victor is due on Tuesday from Wanganui to complete Homeward loading. She Is timed to sail on Sunday week for London . SUFFOLK'S MOVEMENTS. The Federal Line expect to dispatch the Suffolk on Sunday for Timaru. She will then go to New Plymouth and Wanganui, returning to Wellington In time to sail for Liverpool and Avoumouth about Juno 26. WESTPORT HARBOUR RETURNS. During the last month the total output of coal at Westport was 38,630 tons 15cwt., of which 35.4-,; tons scwt. were exported. The shipment of timber totalled 32,000 sun. foet. Thirty-four steamers, representing 19,692 t-ons, entered the port during the month. THE CANADIAN PLANTER. The Canadian Planter is now due at Lvttelton on July 4 from Australia. She will later come to Wellington, arriving here on July 11. J’rom Wellington she will proceed to Auckland, and will sail from there for New York. OTAHAMA LEAVES NEWPORT NEWS. The New Zealand Shipping Companyhave received cable advice that the Otarama, which sailed from here on April 23. left Newport News in continuation of tier voyage.on Tuesday. LEITRIM FROM NAPIER. The Federal Line expect the Leitrim here to-morrow from Napier. She will »all about Wednesday for Lyttelton. MANUKA DUE MONDAY. The Union Company’s steamer Manukawas to have left Sydney yesterday for Wellington, and is due here on Monday. She will leave next Thursday on the return trip. PORT SYDNEY TO LOAD. The C. and D. liner Port Sydney is due next Wednesday from Napier. loading a Quantity of cargo hero she will sail for Sydney, leaving about Juue 19.

The Ngatoro will discharge a nuantity of bunker coal for the Shropshire, ana then sail for New Plymouth, leaving here about Monday. The Karamu is duo to-morrow irotn Greymouth with coal for the gasworks. She will return to Greymouth about Tuesday, „ , . The Kawatiri is due on Sunday from Oa.ma.rn. and is to sail the following day for New Plymouth. The Kanna is due to-morrow from Auckland' and Napier, and will sail, in the evening for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Putiki is due to-morrow and will sail about Monday for Waikokopu. The Blenheim is due from Havelock and Sounds to-day, but her further movements have not yet been fixed. The Waimea is due on Tuesday from Wanganui, and will sail the same day for Nelson. Westport, and Greymouth The Kamo is to sail to-day for Westport to load for Wellington.
