ANGORA GOVERNMENT PROMOTING
DISORDERS
BRITAIN RECONSIDERING HER POLICY
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright
London, May 31
A new situation has arisen in the Near East owing to the anti-British attitude of the Turkish Nationalist Government at Angora, which has refused to carry out the agreement for the exchange of British prisoners. After a mock trial the Government executed an Indian Moslem who went to Angora for the purpose of trying to bring about a reconciliation between Turkey and Britain; and it has declared that British ships will not be allowed to use Turkish ports.
The Angora Government has also entered into an agreement with Moscow’, and Kemalist and Bolshevist agitators promoted disorders in Mesopotamia, Palestine, and Egypt. Consequently Britain is reconsidering her policy of neutrality in the TurkoGreek War.—Reuter.
