The Peruvian Government has failed in its endeavour to deport 10 Australia, forty-five politicians, including General Oscar Benavides, a former President. The deportees mutinied aboard ship in inid-Pacific. while bound for Australia, amT took the steamer back to Punta Arenas (Costa. Rica), where they appealed 'o the Costa Rican Government for asy-lum.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
