Sir John Montagu Biirgoyne. Barf., who in September, IK7O. carried the late Empress Eugenie, a fugitive from Paris owing to Ihe overthrow of Napoleon, to England from Deauville in his yacht Gazelle in face of a terrible storm, has died at Sutton Park, Sandy, England, aged 88. He leaves no heir.
