The establishment of a Confederation of British American countries, to include all the British colonies, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad, and the Windward Islands, and joossibly British Guiana, is reported here to be under consideration. The British Dominions and possessions in North, South, and Central America are to lie united into a Commonwealth of British America. This is the latest development of the union begun by the Canadian Confederation in 1867. Representatives of the British possessions in America attended a. conference at Ottawa last year, when a trade agreement was made.
