LAW TO BE CARRIED OUT EFFECTIVELY. By Telegraph—Press Association. ChriMchurch, May 24. "As far as bookmaking generally is concerned,” said the Hon. E. P. Lee'emphatically to-day, "I introduced the legislation of last session, and so far as T can I will endeavour to see that the law is effectively carried out. T have instructed the police to carry out the law.”
