FEAV UNITS ACTIVELY ENGAGED

Tho latest list issued by the Navy Office, showing'the disposition of the Australian warships, reveals that the greater portion of the fleet is cither oul of commission, in dock for repairs, or doing work of tender* says a Melbourne Telegram in the Sydney "Sun. iho Australia has become the tender -for the Cerberus, nnd is not likely to be commissioned again. The dcsi i-oyers Huon, Swordsman, and Success, among others, are similarly occupied'. The vessels awaiting repairs or undergoing overhaul include the cruiser MeL bourne, the submarine J2._ J 3, nnd J 7, and the auxiliary collier Bilocla. Among tho few units actively engaged are the cruisers Sydney and Brisbane, both of which nro due nt Jervis Bay on May 27 for torpedo and gunnery exorcises. The Anzac and tho five gift destroyers, which have recently undergone extensive overhaul, are engaged mi mine-sweeping exercise in company with the sloop Geranium. Tho rworvo list of ships- (vessels out of commission) is increasing steadily. Included in it are iho cruiser Encounter, tho Pioneer, the river-class destroyers, tho sloop Mnllnw, Iho yacht Franklin, end the oiler Kurnhmn, while the fate of iho ternedo-bont Countess of ITopetonn. which is now ai Wil.'inmstewn. appears lo be. ham-’ing in tho balance, her disposition being officially quoted, "remaining future undecided.”
