CRACK CADET TEAMS
No small amount of interest has_ been’ aroused by the action of the National, Defence League in arranging for the .Off secondary school cadets, now in training l at Trontham, to appear in the lowni; Hall, Wellington, on Tuesday evening next (Empire Day), and give a demonstration of the new system of and recreational training. Ihe cadets are fully representative of the bestknown secondary schools throughout the Dominion, and may thus be said to be. the nick of New Zealand’s rising young manhood. They have entered upon their fortnight’s voluntary course at Irentlianj,; with the keenest spirit of rivalry, amt, the result should be that when they appear in the Town Hall they will present; quite an exceptional performance. Dne, principle underlying physical and ro». creational training is "how to keep cheery ful and grow fit.” This, it is promised, will be fully demonstrated in the exer-.: cises and games that will be presented. The brain-stimulating games, moreover,, are spoken of as being highly diverting*,. The whole exhibition will be under th®, control of Captain A. W. Bocks, M.C.,, bein’ gymnastic staff chief instructor m: physical and recreational training for' the Dominion.
