BIG SALE TO FRANCE. Melbourne, May 19. In tho House of Representatives today, Sir Joseph Cook (Acting-Prime Minister) announced that; 300.000 tons of wheat had been sold to the French Government in February at 112 s. 6d. per quarter c.i.f. The Victorian IVheat Commission has intimated that the. current quotation of 7s, per bushel for wheat for gristing into flour for export to Africa, New Zealand, and the Pacific has been extended to the July- shipment.—Press Assn.
