STABILISATION OF WAGES

ATTITUDE OF .TRADES COUNCIL.

At a special meeting of the Wellington Trades and Labour Council, held last night, Mr. E. Kennedy presiding, the recent decision of the Court of Arbitration to stabilise wages was fully discussed, and it was resolved:—“That all unions in Wellington be advised to file an application for the bonus, and that the Court of Arbitration be requested to fix a date wherein a case can be stated on behalf of Labour against its recent decision to forego! the granting of accrued bonus to workers and instead stabilising wages.’’
