The Moeraki has been delayed at Lyttelton owing to wet weather. She is now due on Friday and will Bail at 3 p.m. for Sydney. KARAMEA LEAVES BALBOA. The S.S. and A. liner Karamea. bound from London to Dunedin and Lyttelton, left Balboa on Monday last. She ifi expected at the firstmentioned port about June 3, PORT HACKING AT WANGANUI. Bad weather yesterday forced the Port Hacking, loading at the roadstead port of Wanganui, to put to sea. In conseauence eho is not expected hero until tomorrow. The Port Darwin is in port waiting- to sail for Wanganui. lONIC’S MOVEMENTS. The S.S. and A. liner lonio is to sail this afternoon for Auckland. She will visit Napier beforo returning to Wellington. Due back here about May 27. she is expected to sail for London on June 4. UIiIMAROA AND BIVERINA. The Huddart-Parkcr steamers Ulimaros and Riverina are expected to leave Sydney to-day, the former for Wellington and the. latter for Auckland. Both vessels are duo nt their respective ports on Monday, and should sail for Sydney again the following Thursday. TO LOAD FROZEN MEAT. The City of Winchester is to load frozen, meat under the auspices of the S.S. and A. Line at Lvttelton. Port Chalmers, and Bluff. She will return to Lyttelton to sail finally for the United Kingdom about June 14. The White Star liner Gallic is also to toad at New Zealand norts for the United Kingdom. She is nt present, discharging Liverpool cargo at, Australian ports, but is due at Wanganui at the end of .this month. She will also load at Timaru and Lvttelton. and should Bail finally from the latter port about June 17. THE PORT SYDNEY. The C. and D. liner Port Svdney is expected to leave Sydney on Friday week for Wallington. She fe due about May and will load in New Zealand for the United Kingdom. Her ports have not yet been allotted. WESTRALTA FOR MELBOURNE. . Rain has delayed the Huddart-Parker steamer Westralia at Bluff. She is expected to leave that port to-day for Melbourne. CANADIAN GOVERNMENT LINE. The following sailings of the Canadian Government Line from Vancouver to Australasian ports are announced by Messrs. Murray. Roberts, and Co.: —Canadian Winner, May 15; Canadian Skirmisher. May 20; Canadian Importer, May 30. REMUERA TO COMPLETE'. ' The Remuera is dne at Wellington from Auckland next Wednesday to complete Homeward loading. She is fixed to tall from hero on May 24 for London, via Panama. TO LOAD FOR NEW YORK. The steamer Canastota, now in Australia, has been fixed to load for New York at Wellington about the end of the month. She will be followed by the Donald M’Kay, w/ricli will probably load at- Napier, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin in June. Messrs. Dalgety and Company are the local agents. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain Sorenson lias rejoined the Houto as master. m . Mr. C. W. Humphrey has left the Waikawa, on which, vessel ho was purser. Mr. R. J. W. Dalton has joined th« Kauri an fourth engineer. Mr. G. H. King, mate of the Houto, hag left that vessel. . Mr. J. P. Burns, chief engineer of the Kokiri, has left that vessel. The ship Cardlnia 1b to load at Newcastle shortly for New Zealand. Her port has not yet been announced. The Nikau is duo to-morrow and will go on the patent Blip to complete her overhaul. She will resume in the Nelson running on Tuesday. The small steamer Koi has been chartered by Messrs. Hansford and Mills, whoeo auxiliary bcow Magic recently went ashore close to Pencarrow, to bring a load of, stone from Sandy Bay to Wellington. The name of tho port of registration on three of the Union Company’s passenger vessels—Wahine, Maori, and Moeraki—has . been changed from “Dunedin” to “Lon-, don.” Although the vessels were registered in London some time ago it bus not been till lately that the names on the stern have been altered. The Rama is due to-aay from Oamaru and will sail to-morrow for Timaru, Oam-. aru and Dunedin. The Kittawa is due to-day with coal from Greymouth. The Karamu is, due from the same port vith coal on baturFlora is due from New Plymouth to-morrow. It is hoped to dispatch her for Lyttelton and New Plymouth to-mor-. row evening. , . _ .
