TWO SUDDEN DEATHS
INQUESTS AND FINDINGS. Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., held an inquest yesterday morning into the cause of death of Jennie Jackson, a widow, 28 years of age, who died suddenly at her home in Park Hoad, Miramar, on Tuesday moming. The deceased had been a widow before coming to New Zealand, and had no relatives in the Dominion. She had been working as a clerk in an office, and had never complained of illness. Dr. C. M. Hector, who made a post-mortem examination, attributed her death to acute euphritis, supervening on chronic euphritis. The Coroner found in accordance with the medical testimony.
Air. F. K. Hunt, S.AL, conducted -n inquiry into the cause of death o? Albert George Caines, a widower, 52 years of age, who died suddenly at a hoardinghouse, No. 196 Tinakori Road, at an early hour on Tuesday morning. Francis Hendry, clerk in the State Advances Office, stated that deceased had shared a room with him at the boardinghouse. On Monday Caines went to bed at 10 p.m. in good spirits. At about 4.30 a.m. witness was aroused by hearing his mate retching violently. Caines soon afterwards staggered and fell on the bed. He died in a few minutes. Dr. C. M. Hector. who conducted n r>ost-mortem examination, stated that death was due to aneurism of tho aorta, and the Coroner found accordingly.
