BIG DEFICIT EXPECTED

Despite the largely increased revenue, it is anticipated’ that the State’s financial year will end with an accumulated deficit of about three millions. The chief causes are the charger iu meeting the Board of Trade’s new basic wage and the heavy calls arising out of unemployment.—Press Assn.
