THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present, indications are for high and squally south to south-east winds; weather cold and changeable with heavy showers and snow on the high levels in the south. Barometer rise everywhere.
The weather has been cold and changeable with scattered showers and moderate to strong south-west winds have prevailed and have incrense.d in force along the east coast of the South Island.
