Weights for the Otaki meeting will not be declared until after the Wanganui form is disclosed. Acceptances are duo on Thursday, May 26, at 8.30 p.m. , First Line. Multive, and Slowcoach figure in both the Tongahoe Hurdles and Egmont Steeplechase on Wednesday. In the case of the first-named, he may be regarded as a likely runner in the hur-; dies, as his trainer has Foeman engaged in the Steeplechase. Mattock has been schooled over the big fences at Bulls by A. Tricklebank,' but, according to some reports, his display was not good. He can be relied. 1 upon to do a lot better in company. Battle Knight, who went sore on the eve of the Napier Cup meeting, is again in work at Greenmeadows. It is the intention of his trainer, S. Waddell, to race him at the Ellerslie meeting. ; There is a report in circulation that Bon Reve will be sent to Trantham to be trained. It is thought the tracks at Trentham. will be more suitable than at Hastings, where they are on the hard, side. _ i
