PLEA FOR RECONSIDERATION.
London, May 8
Lord Weir, in a memorandum to the Government, pleads with both parties to abandon their present nontentions and re-examine the whole coal situation. Ho suggests a return to the eight hours’ day, the application of the minimum wace. restoration of piecework, and wages revision monthly in accordance with the cost of living.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
