MA.STERTON CLUB V. KELBURN. On Saturdav a team from the Masterton Tennis Club repaid the visit recently made T>v a team from the Kelhurn Club to Masterton. The Wellington team, which was well beaten when if journeyed to the Wairarapa, was on this occasion able to turn the tables on the country club’s representatives, who are not accustomed to play on asphalt courts, and who also were handicapped by their bug motor trip over the Rinnifakas. Tlip weather was perfect for tennis, and though ihe visitors were defeated in most of the games. . several were closely contested. The results wore as follow, the .Kelburn players being mentioned first in each case:— Singles: Melodv lost to Gawith. C. Earle beat .Tames. D. Earle beat Jones, Malfrov bea-l Hull, Kean beat Richardson, Wilson beat Boddington. Doubles: Earle and Earle beat Gawith and Richardson. Malfroy and Melody beat Groves and Richardson. Kean and Wilson beat Boddington and Hull.
