BOXING
The opening of Fritz Holland’s boxing school seems to have given an impetus to the boxing game in Wellington. No fewer than 67 amb'tious youngsters have already enrolled. “Ned’’ Straffon, Wellington’s premier middleweight, has been a member of the school since its opening a fortnight ago, and he has acquired a degree of smoothness and speed seldom Keen in amateur boxers. Holland is very enthusiastic about the prospects of his formidable featherweight brigade. Vio David Percy Charles, ajjtl a Nelson Ind named Aubrey Cann, are perhaps the most advanced punils so far. Sid Hargreaves is Holland's best “hope” in the heavyweight division.
