LONDON WOOL F-ALE ; MORE CONFIDENT TONE. (Rec. April 14, 10.35 p.m.) London, April 13. At the free wool sale there was a good selection of merinos and crossbreds, and a much more confident tone all round. Practically all was sold at par to 5 per cent, above the opening rates/ Continental operators bought the bulk, Germany taking about two-thirds of both tho merinos and crossbreds. Yorkshire buyers wore more active than recently. New Zealand lots sold included Waipunga, which realised HJd. per lb. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.

INVESTMENT SHARES.
Business in the investment share market is tending towards dullness. Fewer claancs of shares arc in demand, and as. a. matter of fart there were buying quotations yesterday for only nine lots of which three were banking shares and two insurance.
