PRISONER AT LARGE
ELUDES PURSUERS IN DARKNESS.

The prisoner George Vincent Keys, who escaped from a quarry gang at MoUnt Eden prison on Saturday, was still ax large nt latest advices. After a brush with a warder at Titirnng; on Tuesday evening, when he put his pursuer hois de combat with a kick on the body. Keys has managed to keep out of sight of Jus pursuers in the thick scrub of the litirangi district, and there is a feeling that, under cover of darkness last night, ho slipped through the cordon of pursuers.
