Mr. P. D. Leslie, New Zealand manager'of the Colonial Mutual Assurance Company, who returned from Australia on Wednesday, has been appointed manager of the South African branches of the company, with headquarters at Cape Town. Mr. Leslie is one of the bestknown of New Zealand insurance managers, and has been in the Colonial Mutual Office for about 35 years. He has been New Zealand -ijnnager since 1906. Mr. Leslie was born at Dumbarton, Scotland, and was for some time associated vith shipping interests o’n the. Clyde. He will leave the Dominion in about four weeks’ time, with Mrs. and Miss Leslie, for Sydney, where ho will embSrk for South Africa by the Euripides some time in May. . , , Mr Leslie returned from an extended tour of the United Kingdom about three months ago.
