Krassin, interviewed regarding the possibilities of trade between Russia and Australasia, said Russia was desirous of trading with Australia and New Zealand and all the Dominions, as they all were included in the AngloRussian Trade Agreement. Russia would like to buy metals, wool, meats and coal, provided the freight did' not make the price prohibitive. For coal and metals she would pay cash, but for other com-' modifies she would require credit for two to three years and perhaps longer. Some countries supplying Russia were, .giving four and five years’ credit. Russia’s immediate requirement was coal, two to three million tons, for Petrograd and Odessa. The possible Russian exports to Australasia were soft woods suitable for butter boxes, crude oil, benzine, kerosene, lubricating oils, asbestos, and furs. Regarding the ports of shipment lie thought it would be possible to send direct to Vladivostok. Siberia had been deprived of many commodities for several years.
