SOUTH WELLINGTON CIRCUIT.
The South Wellington circuit held its quarterly meeting on Monday night, the Rev. E. Drake, superintenffent minister, presiding. The Rev. Dr. J. T. Pinfold and about 45 officials, including ladies, were present. The balance-sheet was read and approved. The receipts for tn© quarter amounted to £250 18s. fid., and the. exr penditure to (£213 61. Bd.. leaving a credit balance of £37 Us. (Id. The Sunday schools were reported as Healthy, there being 435 scholars and 40 teacliers. with 113 in _tho Worshipping League. Membership returns showed 312 seniors and 116 juniors. Arrangements were made for the visit of the Rev J- F. Goldie and two Native helpers to Trinity Church on April 24. Mr. Goldie is the chairman of the Solomon Islands district. Foreign mission and CentenaryFund committees were appointed.
In reference to the retirement of Dr. Pinfold after 42J years' service in tho Dominion, a motion was passed regretting his retirement, and wisnlng him long years of future lite and happiness.. Feeling reference was made to the excellent service rendered by Mrs. Pinfold and the members of the family. Dr. Pinfold has bought o property at Karori, and he- intends devoting his leisure time to literary work. An arrangement has been made with the Rev. J. G. Chapman, late of Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, to continue the work just tacated by Dr. Pinfold. Mr. A. Brooks was continued on the plan as a local preacher on trial. It was reported that during the winter months the Rev. E. Drake would conduct a mission service in Trinity Church every Wednesday night-
