FORGERY AND UTTERING
BANK ACCOUNT IN ASSUMED NAME.

At the Police Court, Robert Harvey Campbell admitted that forgery and uttering of a cheque for .£284 16s. Accused worked in the office of F. anti W. Fowler, plumbers. Ho opened an account with the Bank of New South Wilprt under an assumed name, and paid Jn a cheque signed "F. and W. Fowler.” Ho bought a cheque-book, and inf'sentod a cheque for the withdrawal of .£18(1 The delay in getting the cheque certified alarmed Campbell, who disap]>eared. Inquiries then showed that Fowler a cheque was a forgery. Accused was allowed bail of .£lOO.
