The report of the committee of the Island Bay School, to be submitted to the annual meeting of householders shows that -everything pertaining to the welfare of school life in the district is Steadily advancing, and that the teachin'' staff and committee are working lit harmony for the benefit, and care of those in their charge. • "The vear ends with a record to ie proud of,” says the report ‘On educational side, six out of fourteen who sat for examination won scholarships, and seven qualified for free places a result unapproached by any other school in the Wellington district, and making a standard for the school that will ba hard to heat.
