Yesterday the eight rink® from Wanganui, who are paying a fraternal visit to Wellington, were in the morning taken for an enjoyable motor ride round Victory Drive (Oriental Bay, Evans Bay, Karaka Bay, Seatoun, Lyall, Island, and Ohiro Bays), and many of them declared that though they had visted Wellington many times, they had never seen so much of its charming surroundings. In the -afternoon they visited the Victoria Club green, where they Were warmly welcomed by the President (Mr. W. E. Jackson). The games played resulted .as follows (the visiting skips being named first in each instance): — Glasgow. 22; Proctor, 16Harkness, 20; Dimock. 16. Stafford, 18; Cooper, 27. Scrivener, 18; Wylie, 21. Keesing, 12; Jackson, 27. Benncfield, 13; Bolton, 25. Nixon, 12; Norwood, 29. Bryden, 4; Sloane, 32. Totals:—Welington, 195; Wanganui, 1 19 - , AC At the conclusion of the games, Mr. Keesing, on behalf of the visitors, returned thanks for the generous u°“Pltalitv which had boon shown them y e Victoria Club. The Wellington Centre had already been thanked. He could only say that the Centre and clubs had continued to give them the best time they had ever had in thmr , concluded by urging the Victoria Club to resume the annual visits to Wang, n . U Price (Secretary of the Wanganui Centre) also returned thanks on behalf o C f the Centre, and particular y thanked the secretary of the Welling ton Centre (Mr. S. H. Underwood) for the v 7 complete arrangements he had for their, pleasure and comfort.
