The difference between 4125 7s and -860 was the amount of damage sustained, viz., .£34 135., for which amount judgment was given, loss the amount already paid into Court. 4112 10»„ 9d„ with costs X 1 04s. Security for The Power Stations and Tramway Committee of the City Council reported last night that it had given further consideration to the question of the 'tariff for alternating current supply, referred back to it by tho council at its last meeting. The- committee reaffirmed its recommendations, as follow —’Supply for heating, 2d. per unit net (present rate 2d. per unit with 25 per cent, discount). This will have the effect of slightly reducing current., used for heating, and ease the load oh ' the station during the peak-loading hours. Power supply, 4d. per unit with existing' discount scale. This will bring the price of the alternating current supply equal to the direct current, and thereby remove the anomaly which at present «rf»ts.” The recommendation was adopted by 10 votes to 8.
