The race for the Hating Cup is to be saiied on Saturday. This trophy was presented to the Port Nicholson Yacht Olilb by Mr. H. Smith, of Kilblrnie, for a contest between first-elans yachts, handicapped according to the rules of measurement by tho International Yacht Racine Association. The Cup must, he won twice in succession, or three times at intervals, to become the absolute property of the wln-'-r. La.t. year it. was won by Mr. B. Clarke’s Marnngi. Ihe entries’ for Saturday arc- Rona.. Marnngi. Alisa-. Wairere IT. and Viola.. The course io the ’’lone course.’ 'from Clyde Quay Wharf, Jermtngba.tn buoy. Koro Koro. Pinnacle buoy, end back to Clyde Quay—a, distance of something over 16 miles.
