KIRKWOOD LEADING IN A CHAMPIONSHIP CONTEST. (Rec. April 6, 9.45 p.m.) New York, April 5. At White Sulphur Springs Kirkwood is leading on the first day’s play, 3G holes, of the local open golf championship, completing the first round in 74 and the second round in 70, a total of 144. East, with 163, is eighteenth amongst the nineteen players, most of whom competed at Pinehurst. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
