THE NEW PARTY

Another meeting of supporters of the new National Progressive and Moderate Labour Party was held in Wellington on Tuesday night. The meeting was private, and no report of the proceedings was issued.

Mr. C. E. Statham, M.P., the national president of tho new party, told a Dominion reporter yesterday that encouraging reports were reaching him. The party was receiving a substantial amount of support, although its organisation was still at an initial stage.
