THE JOHN AND WINTHROP
ARRIVES AT GREYMOUTH AFTER LONG TRIP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, April G. The Vhree-masted schooner John and Winthrop, which left Lyttelton on February 1 for tho IVest Coast, arrived a Greymouth this morning, after a passage of 64 days. Her long voyage was causing concern, and it was feared that she had met with disaster. Adverse gales had blown her north. No damage is 1 eported, but the sails were blown awa y . The crew are all well. As the vessel came up to the wharf and dropped her anchor hearty cheers were given for her captain and crew. [A message was received in Wellington yesterday by the Chief Postmaster from the postmaster at Greymouth confirming the above statement.]
