Mr. AV. H. Millward has joined the Local Board of Directors of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited.
A vote of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Mr. V. Astill at last night’s meeting of the Wellington Football Association. The late Mr. Astill was a well-known “soccer reteree. Mr. G. Mitchell, M.P., intends to visit tho Mangaliao hydro-electric works today- , Mr. P. R. Presants, who has for several years occupied the position of factory manager and artist and desig with Messrs. C. M. Hanks, Ltd., wis entertained on March 31 by the factory staff and presented with a hand t°“ souvenir. Mr. Presants has a n engagement with Messrs. Turnbull, Hickson and Gooder.
