THE WEATHER

FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are lor strong north to west winds northward of Kawhia and Castlepoint, and north-westerly to south-westerlies, strong to gale else where. Weather unsettled and squally, -with rain following generally and a falling barometer everywhere.

The barometer has fallen steadily in the south during the past 48 hours. Freshening easterly and northerly winds have prevailed; rain has fallen on the West Coast and in southern districts, and a change in weather conditions now appears imminent. „ „, D. C.
