FIRE AT FREEZING WORKS
ROOF BADLY DAMAGED

An outbreak of fire was discovered in the economiser room at the Smithfield freezing works at 4 o'clock this morning. The brigade was quickly on the scene, and the flames were extinguished, but not before the roof was badly oamaged. The engine-room adjoining was not damaged, and work is being carried on as usual to-day. Be prepared. Insure with the Tnsnr anco Office of Australia (The "1.0. A.
