SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
There was a large-attended gathering of workers at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Thursday, when means were discussed of raising funds without thp aid of bazaars. The speakers were: Messrs. If. T. Johns, R. M. Griffiths. IT. Colpus, Weston, and J. Moore ffi(missioncr). Mr. Moore, missioner, was in the chair. He gave an outline of the work that goes oh daily, and received promises of support. The hope was expressed that the public would share in the effort to aid a work that aids men so far from home. Musical items were contributed during the'evening by Airs, Vare. Aliases Passau, Lewis, Troon, and T. Jenkins. Mrs. Vare and Miss Passau were at the piano.
