Cabled advice has been received bp the Iron and Steel Company that the following members of the barque Antiope s crew left Sydney yesterday by the Riverina for Auckland Atkins, Lyre, Lyon. Lily, and Nancarrow (apprentice),, and Derrick and M'Goon (seamen). WAIRUNA IN PORT. The Union Company’s steamer Wairuna arrived yesterday morning from San Francisco, and berthed at 10.30 at the Queen’s Wharf. The Wairuna loaded at Vancouver, Powell Bay. and Ocean Falls, and left San Francisco on March 5. A fine nnd uneventful voyage fras encountered until two days; out from Wellington, when southwesterly gales were met. The Wairuna is one of the Union Company’s recently purchased German boats, and was captured off Gibraltar by the British Navy early in the war. She was formerly known ao the Schneefels, sister fihip to the German raider Woolf. Captain D. Ritchie ia in command. 1 and he has with him the following officers Chief, Mr. A. Lurford: second. Mr. A. Lucus: third. Mr. J. Callan: chief engineer, Mr. N. M'Caig; second. Mr. A. Daniel; third, Mr. W. Campbell: fourth. Mr. W. MacLeod; fifth, Mr. J. Taylor; sixth. Mr G. Hatherell; wireless operator, Mr. K Davidson. The Wairuna brought newsprint, case and crude oil, and a number of crates of tinned salmon. She is to sail on Monday for Melbourne. At Sydney she will discharge the lumber she has aboard. TREYLON FOR AUSTRALIA. The Treyion is expected to leave Dunedin. where she is completing discharge of her New York ■earjo. on Tuesday for Australia. . She will load, wheat there for the United Kingdom. TAHITI FOR SAN FRANCISCO. The. Union Company’s steamer Tahiti is to sail for San Francisco, vta Rarotonga and Papeete, at 3 p.m. to-day. RIVERINA FOR AUCKLAND. The Huddart-Parker steamer Riverina left Sydney at 11.30 a.m. on Thursday, bound for Auckland, where she is due on Monday. She has 220 passengers and 514 tons of cargo aboard. On the return trip she should leave the northern port at noon on Thursday. FOR LYTTELTON. T2ie Wai mate should sail to-morrow for Lyttelton. _ The Crosby Hall is tn sail to-day for Lyttelton to continue discharge. PALOONA SAILS TUESDAY. The Kahika sailed last night for Picton, from where she will, after loading produce, continue her voyage to Westport and Greymouth. . , , The Baden Powell has gone into drydock at Lyttelton and is not expected here before next 'Wednesday. It is hoped to dispatch her on the return trip to Lyttelton the same day. , With a shipment of cheese for the Rimutaka, the Flora is due to-morrow from New Plymouth. Her sailing for Foxton ou Tuesday has been abandoned on account of the state of the tides at that port. The departure of the Wanaka has been postponed until Monday. She. is to go t®» Timaru.
