Republicans attacked a train at Headford Junction, Kerry, killing an officer and six men of the Royal Fusiliers, and wounding twelve. They also killed a civilian and wounded two. The fight lasted for 59 minutes.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. (Rec. March 22, 9.40 p.m.) London, March 22.
Tho attack at Headford Junction occurred in a cutting. The troops, numbering thirty, were detrained, suffering severely. The survivors withstood the attackers until a second ' train arrived bearing reinforcements. It is believed the Republicans sustained a number of casualties. One body was found.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
TWO CONSTABLES SHOT DEAD. (Rec. March 22, 5.5 p.m.) London, March 21. Constables M'Kenna and Campbell were shot dead at Falcarragh and Mullinahone respectively.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable. Assn. THE WEEK-END CASUALTIES London, March 21. In the House of Commons, Sir Hamar Greenwood announced that the total week-end casualties in Ireland were: Ten military aud five police killed, eleven military and five police wounded, seven rebels killed and seven wounded. Six unwounded rebels were taken prisoner, and three civilians were wcunded in the ambush at Dublin.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. TAK!NG~TRE~ CENSUS THE DAIL ETREANN SAYS IT WILL PREVENT IT. (Rec.
