President Harding is understood to be reluctant to take such action, but he concluded that the farmers’ plight demanded some form of immediate attention, It is hoped that the Tariff Bill to be introduced at a special Congressional session, either as an emergency or permanently, will obviate the necessity for an embargo.—Aus.-N.Z.
