RESULT IN A DRAW. (Rec. March 20, 11.5 p.m.) London, March 19. The inter-’varsity sports resulted in a draw, with five events each. Oxford won the hammer throwing, weight putting, hurdles, long jump, and three mile.-?, and Cambridge won the hundred yards, high jump, mile, quartcr-mile and half-mile Snxon was second in the long jump with 21ft. 71in. Kent Hughes was second in the half-mile, 26 yards behind. The winner’s time was Imin. 57|sec. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. THE BOAT RACE. (Rec. March 29, 5.5 p.m.) London, March 19. The Oxford and Cambridge crews are strenuously practising in anticipation of the race on March 30. The Oxford crew has been interrupted by sickness and minor injuries.
