VICTORIA COLLEGE COUNCIL
MONTHLY MEETING. Mr P Levi presided at a meeting of the Victoria College Council last evening. There were present: Professor Hun Ur. Messrs. E. K- Lomas, F. W. Smith- A. svth, W. H- Morton. R. M Callum, H. Bakewdl, and Sir Robert Stout. On the recommendation of the Finance and Business Committee it was decided. (D That Messrs. Husband Bros, be Paid sum of £l2OO as the sixth progress payment for the north wing: (2) that the chairman and Professors Hunter and Mackenzie be a committee to appoint a successor' to Mrs. Palmer, as extra assistant in English: GO that laboratory boys be n iid according to the scale recommended bv the Science Faculty, viz.: 25sfor the first year. Ms. ner week for' rear. Sss. per week third year, and thwe-. after: (4) that the salary of the ®«Eistrar eh Increased to £559 per annum, and the salary of the caretaker to £2OO per annum.
