A SMALL BATCH OVER 1200 MORE ON THS WATER The passengers who landed off the Corinthic, which berthed yesterday from London, included a small batch of assisted immigrants, comprising sixteen nominated passengers, nine farm labourers. and eighty overseas-settlement passengers— ex-soldiers and their families. A number of immigrants also came out on their own account, the vessel’s full complement being 286, made up as follows: 42 first saloon, 197 second saloon, and 137 steerage. Over 1200 immigrants will reach these shores during the next three weeks. The Waimana, which is due at Wellington on March 30 has fully 900 prospective settlers aboard, all ex-imperial soldiers and their families, while another 305 immigrants are making the .voyage from the Old Country, per the steamer Shropshire, which is expected in these waters in the first week in April. The Waimana and the Shropshire are bringing a number of tradesmen, mechanics, • and skilled workmen in various branches of industry. There are blacksmiths. bootmakers, carpenters and joiners, coachbuilders, motor mechanics, saddlers, plumbers, fitters and turners, stonemasons, etc., among the number, and various shop assistants and agricultural workers. Employers who desire to engage Inbonr are advised to communicate with the "Under-Secretary for the Department of Immigration without delay, giving the full details of the nature of the /employment offered.
