PATEA BY-ELECTION
No announcement has yet been made as to the name of the official Govern ment candidate for the Patea seat. It is reported that no. fewer than five men have indicated their intention or their willingness to stand as Reform candidates, while two other names have been mentioned tentatively. A meeting of the Reform Party organisation in the electorate will be held within the. next few days.
