The Shorthorn bull Loobagh Premier, imported by tho Canterbury Agricultural College, has arrived in New Zealand bv the Rmapehu, and is now in quarantine. Loobagh Premier was calved April, 1920. and was bred by Sir G. Greenall, County Limerick. Tha animal has a distinguished pedigree; his sire Thornby Premier as a, yearling sold for the record price of 2000 guineas, Loobagh Premier is claimed to be a dual purpose Shorthorn, the milk re cords on both sides of his ancestrv averaging about 1000 gallons. This importation should prove not only useful in the college herd, but his influence in Canterbury will further strengthen the claim to possession of the dual purpose Shorthorn for which Canterbury has so long been favourably known.

NEWSPAPER MEN USE BAXTER’S.' The average newspaper man is rather discriminating in respect to his purchases. His training fits him to be .critical and discerning in his judgment. It was interesting to learn, therefore, that in the office of a leading city newypajter no fewer than six men are cop-, sistent users of “Baxter’s Lung Preserver.” In the course of their work these men have all come in contact with other preparations, and the fact that they have come to the conclusion that there is no other specific just as good as “Baxter’s” is still further testimony to the efficacy of this sterling remedy. Baxter’s is a warming, soothing compound which tones up the whole system. You simply cannot have Baxter’s and have a cold too; the cold must go! Lots of business men now keep a bottle of Baxter’s in their offices. At. the first sign of n cold it pays to take a dose. Even obstinate cases have yielded to it. Baxter’s Lung Preserver is not an untried preparation. It has been on the market for fifty-four years. Its sales steadily increase," thus proving that New Zealanders appreciate a good article. You can gel a generous-sized bottle of Baxter’s from any chemist or store. Price 2s. 6d.—Advt. ]
