The vessel has a cargo of coal consigned to the Government. TAINUI LEAVES SOUTHAMPTON. The S.S. and A. Line advise that tha Tainui left Southampton on Thursday for Wellington. The steamer is coming to New Zealand in ballast. She has a number of passengers aboard, and is due here about April 19. The. Tainui will not call at Newport News. PORT MELBOURNE TO COMPLETE. The 0. and D. liner Port Melbourne 11 due here from Napier to-day week to complete Homeward loading. She is at present timed to sail on March 25 for London. TARAWEBA DIVERTED. The Union Company announce that the Tarawera has been diverted to Auckland. It was originally intended that she should come to Wellington from Dunedin and sail from here early this week for Sydney, but she will now go from Dunedin to Auckland. RARANGA’S MOVEMENTS. The S.S. and A. liner Raranga is expected to leave for Timara and Lyttelton on Wednesday. She is expected back here about March 31, and at present i« timed to sail for London on April 5. THE PORT MACQUARIE. The C. and D. liner Port Macquarie was expected to leave Port Kembla on Saturday for Auckland, Napier, and Wellington. She is due at the northern nort on Thursday, and here about March 28. She has cargo from England for discharge at these three ports. MATATUA LEAVES LIVERPOOL. The S.S. and A. Line have received advice that the Matatua left Liverpool on Friday fox Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton. and Dunedin. She is due at the first-mentioned port about April 21 and here about a week later. CORINTHIC DUE TO-DAY. The S.S and. A. liner Corinthic is du* here early thia evening from London and Southampton. She will probably not berth at the King's Wharf to disembark passengers until to-morrow morning. Af- ; ter discharging cement here she is to leave for Bluff, sailing about Wednesday. PALOONA FOR MELBOURNE. The Union Company’s steamer Paloona arrived on Saturday from Lyttelton. Sho is timed to sail at noon to-morrow for Melbourne direct. LEITRIM REPORTED. The Leitrim left Newport News on March 3 for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney-. She is due at the southern port about March 27. Tho Leitrim loaded at New York and Newport News. FOE LONDON. The Kumara is expected to .leave for London on Thursday. Tho Pakeha should bo ready to sail for the same port on Saturday. The Dorset is timed to sail on Thursday for London, via Panama. ZEALANDIO FOR HOME. The S.S. and A. liner Zealandic is expected to sail on March 23 for Lyttelton, where she will complete Homeward loading. She should leave the southern port for London on March 31. KENT LEAVES PANAMA. The Federal Line advise that the Kert left Panama for Auckland on March 3. She Is due at Auckland on March 26, apd will later come to Wellington, being due here about April 4. From here she will go to Australia. THE AUCKLAND-SYDNEY BOAT. The Union Company intend dispatching the Maheno from Auckland for Sydney on Wednesday. MAIMOA TO LOAD. ■' The Maimoa is to leave Auckland on Thursday for .Whakatane. Tokomaru Bay, Gisborne. Napier, and Wellington. She will load at each of these ports, and should make Wellington dbout April 4. At present she is timed to leave for London from here four days later. COAL SHIPMENTS FOR NEW ZEALAND. The Shahristan is expected to leave Newcastle on Friday for Auckland, and the Waitemata on Saturday for a New Zealand port. The Ameriton steamer! Broxton has arrived at Newcastle from Port Chalmers. She will load acam for New Zealand. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain Goldie has taken command of the Pelican from Captain Nelson. Captain Nelson will take charge of the scow Echo. Captain J. M'Lean took command of the Moana on Saturday from Captain L. Worrall. Mr. C. Cleary has signed on the Ivanna as second engineer, vice Mr. E. V Meikle. Mr. V. Barnett has joined the Moana as sixth engineer, aud Mr. J. T. Weir as seventh engineer. Mr. J. W. Cameron, first mate of the Komata, has left that vessel, and Mr. G. W. Godfrey has joined in his stead.
