POSSIBLE ENTRANCE OF UNITED STATES. (Rec. March 13, 11.40 p.m.) Washington, March 12; Informal conversations between the State Department and the French Embassy concerning the possible entrance of the United States into the League ot Nations have found the United States emphasising the necessity for the rectification of apparent injustices to tho United States in regard to the Japanese mandate over Yap, and the. British mandate over former Turkish territory, President Harding ha® reaffirmed Mr. Wilson’s pronouncements on these mat-ters.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.

It is understood that tho now Administration will insist upon every right America, gained as a. result of her participation in the war, and will refuse to recognise that these rights have been surrendered in slightest degree by the rejection of the Treaty or the possible failure of tho American peace.mission to properly safeguard these rights at tho Paris Conference.—Aus.-N.Z.
