DAMAGE BY FIRE
OUTBREAK AT LOWER HUTT. At about ten minutes to twelve o’clock on Saturday an outbreak of fire occurred in premises in Rossiter Avenue, Lower Hutt, occupied by Mr. Rose. Owing to there being no water-plug near to the house, the local brigade was unable to render any material assistance, and the building was burned to the ground. Tho insurances were not available yesterday, EIRE IN ADELAIDE ROAD. At 10.29 p.m. on Saturday the Constable Street Fire Brigade received a call to an eleven-roomed Louse and shop at 112 Adelaide Road, owned by Messrs. Moore, Wilson, and Co., and occupied by Mr. Laurence Halpin. One room and its contents were slightly damaged, and another was damaged by heat. The contents were insured with the Atlas Company for £1725. Be prepared. Insure with the Insur ance Office of Australia (The ‘T.O.A."). All claims settled without vexatious delay.
