Mr. H. Ernest Leighton reports that at the sale held on account of Mr. Willoughby Knight at the Waiponga PoultryFarm, Lower on Saturday, there was a large attendance of buyers, and bidding was spirited from start to finieh 4 Jersey cows sold at from <£22 to <£3o 10s. per head, 9 montlus old Jersey heifers £ll pei’ head, spring trap, horse, and harness £57. The 25 poultry houses sold for removal at £5 to £l9 each, and an iron shed fetched £49.
The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operativ* Association, Ltd., stock department. PahllJc tua, report on their Pongaroa sale Beta on Thursday as follows: —We yarded about 1800 sheep but no cattle. Prices showed a falling tendency throughout, but we were successful in disposing of practically' the whole offering under the hammer. We quote the following saless—94 b.r. lambs, 12s. 6d.; 56 wether lambs. 3e. 6U.; 40 two-tooth wethers, 125.; 118 do.. 608 four and five-year ewes, 9s. 9d.; /S four-year do, 10s.; 139 do, 55.; 63 aged do, 45.; 131 aged do, 3s. Id.; rams, front Egns. to llgns.
