FATAL ACCIDENT

A DRIVER RUN OVER AND KILLED.

A distressing fatality occurred in Webb Street shortly after 9 a.m. yesterday, the victim, being Mr. James Wilson, a cart, age contractor, 66 years of age, who resided in Post Office Avenue, Berhampore. Deceased was driving a loaded dray, when the horse took fright and bolted. Ho was thrown to the ground, and one wheel of the dray passed over him, inflicting very severe injuries, from which he died in the Hospital about two hours later. Deceased was a well-known contractor, and was a brother' of the late Mr. Joseph Wileon, who was killed in practically the same manner at the corporation’s quarry at Lyall Bay a few week’s ago. An inquest will be held.
