LIABILITIES UNDER RAILWAY AGREEMENT.

In the House of Commons, Sir Eric Geddes (Minister of Transport), in the course of a statement in support of Sup plementary Estimates for £21,00(1,000, severing liabilities, under the railway agreement, said the provision was due to the trade slump and the coal strike (which had cost the taipayers £8,000,000), the Irish trouble, iand the increased wages.
